I feed this to my poodle mix because he has spondylosis, and to my Weimaraner mix just as a supplement. Smell: doesn’t really smell like anything. No particular strong smell of medicine; there’s a dull scent of turmeric and flour almost. This is good because my dogs strongly dislike anything with strong chemical/medicine smell. Product itself: it comes in the form of a tablet. Easily crushable with the metallic butt of a butter knife. I crush and mix into food for my poodle mix and drench in fish oil for my Weimaraner mix. They both ate, so it shows they have no problem with the flavor. Ingredient and effect: i am very happy that this product contains manganese, green lipped mussels and turmeric. Many pet hip and joint products do not contain any of the above three, so I had to go out of my way and purchase other supplements with those ingredients. Turmeric reduce inflammation, green lip mussel protects cartilage and is rich in many vitamins, and manganese is an essential component for hip and joint health. All three are essential for my poodle mix with his condition, and he has been a lot more active and playful ever since I switched to this product instead of the previous combination (hip and joint without the three ingredient + multivitamin with the three ingredients). I will buy this again and I recommend to pet parents looking for a good hip and joint tablet.
